Typical annual solid fertiliser application July/Aug/Sep 50% and Jan/Feb 50% of annual maintenance requirement dependent on soil test and can contain the following:
- Guano HP or Life Phos (Microbial Enhanced Phosphate) - Maintenance requirements start from 50-75 kg /ha.
- Ag Lime - Aim to maintain a base saturation of 65-70%.
- Nitrate and ammonium nitrogen.
- Carbohydrate (Sugar) - up to 6% of total phosphate mix.
- Potassium Sulphate, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulphur.
- Trace minerals e.g. Boron, cobalt, copper, molybdenum, zinc, selenium etc.
- Humate Powder - 3-5% of total mix.
Prior to establishing new crops or new pasture the aim is to ensure a good soil mineral balance. Some soluble Phosphorus may be required. Seed, sown should be innoculated with mychorrizae. This is most important. (See biological products).
Up to 2 applications of soil/plant feeders should be applied to the crop/pasture in the first few months of growth to ensure its health and vigor.
The folias may include -- Fish hydrolysate, humic, Nitrogen, high energy sugar and molasses.
Calcium, boron, phosphorous, potassium, magnesium, zinc, silicon, molybdenum, cobalt, copper etc.
Plant Soil and Biological feeder Soil feeders require up to
2 applications
per year for growth stimulation.
Feeders contain some or most of the following:
- Fish Hydroslate, Humic liquid, Nitrate and or Ammonia Nitrogen.
- Carbohydrates may include high-energy sugar, molasses, glucose.
- Trace minerals for plant mineral effect may include: phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, zinc, silicon, molybdenum, cobalt, boron etc.
